Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.59%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.59%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 1.58% or 3.15 points to trade at 202.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) added 0.90% or 5.40 points to end at 603.00 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 0.47% or 0.65 points to 138.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV), which fell 4.75% or 63.00 points to trade at 1,263.50 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 4.66% or 580.00 points to end at 11,865.00 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was down 4.03% or 490.00 points to 11,670.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 87 to 64 and 21 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 6.21% or 4.70 to $80.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 6.02% or 4.81 to hit $84.70 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.05% or 20.80 to trade at $2,007.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.38% to 6.84, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.05% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 101.88.
