Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.61%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.61% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which rose 4.34% or 42.60 points to trade at 1,024.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) added 3.28% or 18.00 points to end at 567.00 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was up 2.33% or 11.40 points to 500.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which fell 2.43% or 3.55 points to trade at 142.80 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) declined 1.99% or 19.80 points to end at 973.20 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 1.68% or 270.00 points to 15,825.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 71 and 11 ended unchanged.

Shares in Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.34% or 42.60 to 1,024.00.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.75% or 0.51 to $68.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.80% or 0.59 to hit $74.28 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 8.30 to trade at $1,923.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 7.02, while EUR/DKK rose 0.07% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.05.
