France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.16%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.16%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.13%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which rose 2.03% or 1.38 points to trade at 69.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) added 1.78% or 2.66 points to end at 152.08 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) was up 1.59% or 3.10 points to 198.05 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 2.39% or 1.45 points to trade at 59.10 at the close. Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) declined 2.24% or 2.82 points to end at 122.84 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) was down 1.69% or 29.50 points to 1,714.00.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which rose 10.80% to 2.78, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was up 7.28% to settle at 6.93 and Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which gained 4.20% to close at 9.55.

The worst performers were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which was down 4.56% to 10.89 in late trade, Verallia (EPA:VRLA) which lost 4.55% to settle at 36.88 and Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which was down 3.72% to 1.70 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 301 to 258 and 85 ended unchanged.

Shares in Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) rose to all time highs; up 1.78% or 2.66 to 152.08.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.02% or 0.40 to $1,849.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.19% or 0.91 to hit $77.46 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.28% or 1.06 to trade at $84.06 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.89.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 103.78.
