Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.21%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.21%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 2.87% or 5.32 points to trade at 191.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 1.50% or 1.46 points to end at 98.60 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 0.94% or 8.40 points to 897.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 2.61% or 385.00 points to trade at 14,390.00 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 2.28% or 330.00 points to end at 14,160.00 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was down 2.01% or 13.20 points to 642.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 64 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.60% or 0.43 to $71.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.10% or 0.85 to hit $76.32 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.75 to trade at $1,799.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.43% to 7.05, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 104.80.
