France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.22%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.22% to hit a new 6-months high, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.18%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 6.68% or 12.70 points to trade at 202.70 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) added 3.05% or 1.10 points to end at 36.98 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was up 2.01% or 1.66 points to 84.09 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which fell 3.12% or 1.48 points to trade at 45.93 at the close. Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) declined 1.33% or 19.50 points to end at 1,448.50 and Safran SA (EPA:SAF) was down 1.32% or 1.46 points to 109.34.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which rose 6.68% to 202.70, JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX) which was up 3.75% to settle at 17.17 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) which gained 3.05% to close at 36.98.

The worst performers were Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which was down 5.83% to 2.72 in late trade, Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which lost 4.80% to settle at 8.21 and Spie SA (EPA:SPIE) which was down 4.36% to 22.84 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 287 to 254 and 99 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.27% or 4.85 to $1,774.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.36% or 2.99 to hit $85.97 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.85% or 2.74 to trade at $93.25 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.52% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 106.71.
