The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 3.77% or 1.15 points to trade at 31.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) added 2.62% or 0.57 points to end at 22.29 and Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:MICP) was up 2.62% or 0.68 points to 26.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 5.27% or 14.40 points to trade at 258.60 at the close. Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) declined 2.12% or 0.51 points to end at 23.59 and Vinci SA (EPA:SGEF) was down 2.09% or 2.01 points to 93.99.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) which rose 7.46% to 12.32, CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which was up 6.17% to settle at 0.74 and Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which gained 4.85% to close at 14.59.
The worst performers were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was down 5.27% to 258.60 in late trade, Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which lost 2.88% to settle at 8.15 and Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:ANTIN) which was down 2.71% to 21.54 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 307 to 235 and 95 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 3.65 to $1,680.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.03% or 0.03 to hit $92.58 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.05 to trade at $98.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.62% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 110.04.
