Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 3.23%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 3.23% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 7.44% or 59.60 points to trade at 860.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 4.69% or 7.04 points to end at 157.00 and Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) was up 3.57% or 9.40 points to 272.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 15.05% or 31.35 points to trade at 176.90 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 6.81% or 11.75 points to end at 160.70 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 5.79% or 935.00 points to 15,215.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 67 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to 5-year highs; rising 7.44% or 59.60 to 860.60. Shares in Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) fell to 52-week lows; losing 15.05% or 31.35 to 176.90.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.09% or 1.85 to $90.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.86% or 1.76 to hit $96.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1,649.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.11% to 7.55, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 111.43.
