Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.12%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.12% to hit a new 1-month high, while the MDAX index declined 1.12%, and the TecDAX index lost 1.56%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn), which rose 5.11% or 0.48 points to trade at 9.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) added 4.90% or 1.08 points to end at 23.13 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) was up 2.67% or 0.70 points to 27.07 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG), which fell 3.50% or 3.51 points to trade at 96.84 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) declined 3.50% or 0.92 points to end at 25.23 and Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) was down 2.61% or 2.66 points to 99.34.

The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which rose 3.90% to 6.80, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:LHAG) which was up 3.17% to settle at 6.86 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which gained 2.93% to close at 2.11.

The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 8.34% to 26.50 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which lost 8.05% to settle at 34.14 and Software AG (ETR:SOWGn) which was down 6.89% to 21.36 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which rose 12.82% to 48.24, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was up 2.11% to settle at 9.38 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which gained 1.79% to close at 22.70.

The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 8.34% to 26.50 in late trade, Software AG (ETR:SOWGn) which lost 6.89% to settle at 21.36 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 6.85% to 48.92 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 336 to 335 and 79 ended unchanged.

Shares in Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.61% or 2.66 to 99.34.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.97% to 25.89 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.29% or 4.85 to $1,664.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.66% or 1.46 to hit $89.37 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.38% or 1.29 to trade at $95.08 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.86% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.57% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 110.14.
