The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which rose 4.28% or 0.77 points to trade at 18.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) added 2.99% or 2.14 points to end at 73.60 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:SGOB) was up 2.80% or 1.11 points to 40.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which fell 2.68% or 1.72 points to trade at 62.40 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) declined 1.64% or 0.87 points to end at 52.12 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was down 0.50% or 0.41 points to 81.71.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) which rose 16.32% to 13.01, Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was up 9.00% to settle at 12.90 and Metropole Television SA (EPA:MMTP) which gained 5.45% to close at 10.54.
The worst performers were Virbac SA (EPA:VIRB) which was down 4.05% to 272.50 in late trade, CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which lost 3.50% to settle at 0.76 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) which was down 2.68% to 62.40 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 315 to 226 and 84 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 8.30 to $1,655.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.56% or 2.16 to hit $82.37 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.86% or 1.70 to trade at $89.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 111.96.
