Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Goods and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which rose 4.14% or 110.00 points to trade at 2,770.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) added 3.37% or 6.50 points to end at 199.70 and Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) was up 3.03% or 37.00 points to 1,260.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 1.69% or 2.42 points to trade at 141.20 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) declined 1.62% or 6.40 points to end at 388.20 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was down 1.24% or 1.55 points to 123.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 95 to 49 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.24% or 1.55 to 123.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.81% or 0.71 to $88.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.92% or 0.86 to hit $94.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1,720.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.58% to 7.57, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.05% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.72% at 111.82.
