The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Thales (EPA:TCFP), which rose 2.33% or 2.55 points to trade at 112.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (EPA:STLA) added 2.00% or 0.25 points to end at 12.73 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) was up 1.37% or 0.57 points to 42.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE), which fell 3.44% or 0.43 points to trade at 12.07 at the close. Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) declined 3.28% or 0.68 points to end at 20.03 and AXA SA (EPA:AXAF) was down 2.14% or 0.51 points to 23.52.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which rose 5.31% to 22.22, Trigano SA (EPA:TRIA) which was up 3.82% to settle at 77.55 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which gained 2.86% to close at 7.49.
The worst performers were Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which was down 25.20% to 2.02 in late trade, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which lost 5.09% to settle at 8.48 and Altarea SCA (EPA:IMAF) which was down 4.68% to 122.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 364 to 204 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.28% or 0.68 to 20.03. Shares in Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) fell to all time lows; down 25.20% or 0.68 to 2.02.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.05% or 17.35 to $1,638.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.73% or 1.36 to hit $77.38 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.85% or 1.57 to trade at $83.46 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 0.96, while EUR/GBP rose 0.95% to 0.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.85% at 113.92.
