France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.19%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.19%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.17%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which rose 3.08% or 1.31 points to trade at 43.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) added 2.29% or 0.46 points to end at 20.31 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) was up 2.07% or 1.01 points to 49.74 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which fell 2.76% or 1.47 points to trade at 51.71 at the close. Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE) declined 0.88% or 0.11 points to end at 12.13 and Danone SA (EPA:DANO) was down 0.70% or 0.36 points to 50.88.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which rose 3.08% to 43.89, Faurecia (EPA:EPED) which was up 2.77% to settle at 13.55 and Valneva (EPA:VLS) which gained 2.31% to close at 8.14.

The worst performers were CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which was down 6.10% to 0.91 in late trade, Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which lost 5.57% to settle at 10.01 and Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) which was down 2.97% to 11.10 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 275 to 262 and 92 ended unchanged.

Shares in Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.97% or 0.34 to 11.10.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.60% or 10.30 to $1,712.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.07% or 0.06 to hit $86.81 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 3.05% or 2.92 to trade at $92.82 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 110.19.
