Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.53%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.53%, while the MDAX index declined 0.30%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.31%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p), which rose 4.42% or 3.08 points to trade at 72.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) added 3.08% or 1.86 points to end at 62.32 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) was up 2.68% or 0.65 points to 24.89 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG), which fell 2.82% or 1.13 points to trade at 38.96 at the close. Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG) declined 2.08% or 2.15 points to end at 101.25 and Linde PLC (ETR:LINI) was down 0.84% or 2.40 points to 284.60.

The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 2.03% to 23.10, Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was up 1.83% to settle at 69.70 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) which gained 1.79% to close at 6.49.

The worst performers were K&S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which was down 8.03% to 22.55 in late trade, Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG) which lost 2.58% to settle at 62.68 and Encavis AG (ETR:ECVG) which was down 2.16% to 21.25 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which rose 2.80% to 51.40, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was up 2.68% to settle at 24.89 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 2.03% to close at 23.10.

The worst performers were Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which was down 2.47% to 15.00 in late trade, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which lost 2.03% to settle at 106.40 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was down 1.80% to 17.50 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 377 to 289 and 93 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.67% to 28.90.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.82% or 14.35 to $1,735.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 6.04% or 5.86 to hit $91.15 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 5.56% or 5.72 to trade at $97.21 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP rose 0.79% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 108.77.
