France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.39%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.39%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.38%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS), which rose 2.24% or 30.50 points to trade at 1,394.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) added 1.93% or 0.76 points to end at 40.31 and L’Oreal SA (EPA:OREP) was up 1.85% or 6.55 points to 360.65 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 2.11% or 1.12 points to trade at 51.88 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) declined 2.05% or 1.12 points to end at 53.64 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was down 1.95% or 0.47 points to 23.41.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which rose 5.23% to 13.48, Remy Cointreau (EPA:RCOP) which was up 3.46% to settle at 194.60 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which gained 3.33% to close at 10.07.

The worst performers were Carmila SA (EPA:CARM) which was down 2.36% to 15.72 in late trade, Klepierre SA (EPA:LOIM) which lost 2.12% to settle at 20.82 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which was down 2.11% to 51.88 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 279 to 249 and 95 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 1.35 to $1,762.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.06% or 0.06 to hit $93.80 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.14 to trade at $100.08 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 108.68.
