Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.18%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.18%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 3.93% or 17.10 points to trade at 452.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CSE:GMAB) added 2.29% or 54.00 points to end at 2,407.00 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 1.36% or 2.10 points to 157.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 3.73% or 3.75 points to trade at 96.70 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 3.66% or 610.00 points to end at 16,045.00 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was down 3.63% or 600.00 points to 15,920.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 58 and 23 ended unchanged.

Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.73% or 3.75 to 96.70. Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.66% or 610.00 to 16,045.00.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 8.58% or 9.30 to $99.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 9.62% or 10.92 to hit $102.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.00% or 36.05 to trade at $1,765.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 1.71% to 7.26, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.51% at 106.50.
