Paul, a former head of Costa Coffee who now leads London-listed Domino’s Pizza Group, takes the helm of Whitbread (LON:WTB) in January, as the group navigates rising costs and labour shortages. He will succeed Alison Brittain.
Domino’s said its board was starting a process to identify a successor to Paul, who took over in May 2020 and has overseen the resolution to a longstanding dispute with franchisees and guided the company through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shares of Domino’s were down 3.5% after the announcement while Whitbread shares were down 1.5%.
