Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.19%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.19% to hit a new 6-months low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 0.97% or 220 points to trade at 22940 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 0.56% or 120 points to end at 21420 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 0.47% or 0.6 points to 129.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 5.06% or 7.4 points to trade at 139.8 at the close. Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) declined 4.24% or 26.00 points to end at 587.00 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was down 4.10% or 12.9 points to 302.1.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 129 to 35 and 11 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.06% or 7.4 to 139.8.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.88% or 0.73 to $84.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.27% or 0.23 to hit $86.71 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 5.75 to trade at $1810.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.69% to 6.5680, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4429.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 95.725.
