Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.43%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.43%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 0.98% or 390 points to trade at 40160 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 0.95% or 13 points to end at 1384 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 0.79% or 90 points to 11430 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 4.47% or 5900 points to trade at 126100 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 3.98% or 119 points to end at 2868 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 3.57% or 1040 points to 28110.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 442 to 68 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 5.07% or 3.59 to $67.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 4.41% or 3.24 to hit $70.28 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.61% or 10.95 to trade at $1793.95 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.22% to 3.1632, while EUR/ILS rose 1.69% to 3.5717.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 96.465.
