The online accounts of nearly 5 million Neiman Marcus Group customers were breached in a cybersecurity leak that included credit-card numbers and other sensitive information, the privately owned retailer said late Thursday.

Neiman Marcus said that it recently learned of the breach, which occurred in May 2020, and contacted authorities and a cybersecurity expert to investigate.
