Whole Foods Market Chief Executive John Mackey will retire next year as head of the company he co-founded more than four decades ago in Austin, Texas.
Chief Operating Officer Jason Buechel will become the grocer’s next CEO when Mackey steps down on Sept. 1, 2022, the company said.
