products will let developers connect Salesforce data and workflows natively into their solutions running on AWS, and vice versa. Salesforce will also embed AWS services for voice, video, artificial intelligence and machine learning directly in new applications for sales, service and industry vertical-use cases, the companies said.

“We are taking the partnership to the next level by unifying our platforms and enabling developers to streamline development. That means developers will be able to more easily and securely transfer data across the two platforms, and we’re delivering the tools to help them easily build custom applications with pre-integrated services,” AWS Chief Executive Andy Jassy said in a statement.

“With a more unified Salesforce and AWS platform we can extend the power of our Salesforce Customer 360 to help customers connect all of their data, apps, and devices to create a single source of truth across sales, service, marketing and commerce, and achieve success from anywhere,” Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said in a statement.
