The National Football League and audio-only social-media platform Clubhouse have agreed to a content deal centered around the 2021 NFL Draft.

Both the NFL and Clubhouse announced that the deal will include draft-themed rooms for fans to discuss mock drafts and player selections within the rooms.

Clubhouse is an invitation-only app where users can join rooms to participate, or to just be an audience member — and the rooms can have as few as two people in them, or as many as a few thousand. On Clubhouse there are no posts, no pictures or videos and no DMs to slide into. It’s just a profile picture and a voice.

“The NFL’s commitment to innovation is matched only by their devotion to their fans and we are proud to welcome the NFL to Clubhouse,” Sean Brown, Head of Sports Partnerships at Clubhouse said in a statement. “The Draft is one of the biggest events of the year for football fans, and we know that millions of creators will be discussing, debating and celebrating throughout the week.”

The deal represents the first sports partnership for Clubhouse, something that the company’s audio-only rival Locker Room, which was recently purchased by Spotify

The 2021 NFL Draft begins Thursday.

The NFL’s deal with Clubhouse comes as presumptive No. 1 overall draft pick Trevor Lawrence signed a sponsorship deal with crypto investment app Blockfolio. Lawrence will receive his signing bonus from the deal entirely in cryptocurrency.
