: Slack doubles down on work-from-home movement with new features

Slack Technologies Inc. on Wednesday added a handful of remote-working tools as knowledge workers continue to show an aversion to return to the office.

for $27.7 billion in December, said it is rolling out a new feature that lets anyone using the service direct-message one another. Slack Connect DMs was announced in October.

Additionally, Slack on Wednesday introduced Calendly app for Slack, which allows users to share a Calendly link in Slack Connect, and Slack Connect Hub, which links people from different organizations in one place.

The new products come as a whopping 83% of knowledge workers say they wish to continue working remotely full- or part-time, according to a survey from Future Forum, a consortium started by Slack to help companies make changes necessary to thrive in the new economy.
