The State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement on Friday that the companies include Baidu Inc (NASDAQ:BIDU), Tencent Holdings (OTC:TCEHY), Didi Chuxing, and ByteDance-backed firm.
Baidu, Tencent, ByteDance and Didi did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
