Viatris Earnings, Revenue Miss in Q1

Viatris announced earnings per share of $1.08 on revenue of $3.62B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.24 on revenue of $4.17B.

Viatris shares are down 5.13% from the beginning of the year, still down 29.37% from its 52 week high of $19.24 set on June 8, 2020. They are under-performing the FTSE 100 which is up 2.95% from the start of the year.

Viatris’s report follows an earnings missed by Merck&Co on February 4, who reported EPS of $1.32 on revenue of $12.51B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.38 on revenue of $12.67B.

Medtronic had beat expectations on February 23 with third quarter EPS of $1.29 on revenue of $7.78B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.15 on revenue of $7.77B.
