Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.25%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.25%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Strauss Group (TASE:STRS), which rose 2.00% or 175 points to trade at 8946 at the close. Meanwhile, Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 1.20% or 320 points to end at 27050 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was up 0.74% or 2.3 points to 314.3 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Matrix (TASE:MTRX), which fell 4.00% or 318 points to trade at 7632 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) declined 3.73% or 400 points to end at 10320 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was down 3.44% or 2980 points to 83750.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 318 to 113 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.13% or 0.08 to $61.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $64.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.65 to trade at $1775.45 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.28% to 3.2744, while EUR/ILS rose 0.62% to 3.9544.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 90.670.
