Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.64%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.64%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 4.68% or 595 points to trade at 13315 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 3.58% or 10.4 points to end at 300.9 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 3.04% or 14.3 points to 484.3 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA), which fell 1.28% or 7.6 points to trade at 585.6 at the close. ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) declined 1.04% or 1.10 points to end at 104.90 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 0.56% or 7.5 points to 1326.5.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 105 to 32 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.25% or 0.65 to $52.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.36% or 0.75 to hit $55.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 18.65 to trade at $1868.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.34% to 6.1481, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4372.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 90.797.
