Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.48%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.48%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 7.95% or 140 points to trade at 1900 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 5.44% or 2000 points to end at 38770 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was up 3.14% or 124 points to 4068 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which fell 2.29% or 29 points to trade at 1240 at the close. First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TASE:FIBI) declined 2.00% or 177 points to end at 8662 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was down 1.68% or 290 points to 17000.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 259 to 165 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) rose to all time highs; rising 5.44% or 2000 to 38770.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.76% or 0.40 to $52.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.56% or 0.31 to hit $55.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 8.25 to trade at $1857.15 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.55% to 3.2828, while EUR/ILS rose 0.63% to 3.9809.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 90.493.
