Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.21%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.21%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which rose 2.55% or 2.8 points to trade at 112.7 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 2.36% or 350 points to end at 15195 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was up 1.86% or 17.2 points to 940.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 1.24% or 14.50 points to trade at 1157.00 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 1.19% or 3.1 points to end at 256.5 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was down 0.73% or 3.2 points to 439.4.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 57 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.36% or 350 to 15195.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.15% or 0.08 to $52.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.33% or 0.18 to hit $54.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 4.90 to trade at $1834.80 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.08% to 6.1628, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4399.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 90.802.
