At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.30%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (PA:AIR), which rose 4.20% or 3.74 points to trade at 92.85 at the close. Meanwhile, WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) added 3.88% or 2.36 points to end at 63.26 and Peugeot SA (PA:PEUP) was up 3.28% or 0.73 points to 23.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Carrefour SA (PA:CARR), which fell 2.45% or 0.43 points to trade at 17.11 at the close. Orange SA (PA:ORAN) declined 2.35% or 0.24 points to end at 9.94 and Credit Agricole SA (PA:CAGR) was down 1.70% or 0.18 points to 10.43.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mcphy Energy (PA:MCPHY) which rose 5.89% to 39.55, Ipsen SA (PA:IPN) which was up 5.77% to settle at 72.35 and Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which gained 4.77% to close at 18.91.
The worst performers were Virbac SA (PA:VIRB) which was down 4.67% to 204.00 in late trade, TechnipFMC PLC (PA:FTI) which lost 3.12% to settle at 9.69 and Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (PA:GTT) which was down 2.70% to 86.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 342 to 245 and 83 ended unchanged.
Shares in Peugeot SA (PA:PEUP) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.28% or 0.73 to 23.00. Shares in Mcphy Energy (PA:MCPHY) rose to all time highs; rising 5.89% or 2.20 to 39.55.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.41% or 7.60 to $1847.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.53% or 0.28 to hit $52.63 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.03% or 0.58 to trade at $55.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.2136, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 90.332.
