‘The Ivory Tower’s march toward a monoculture of like-minded, intolerant liberal views demonstrates the sneering disdain for everyday Americans and will instill a culture of fear for students.’

That’s Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik sounding off after Harvard University’s Kennedy School bounced her from a committee of the Institute of Politics. Stefanik said Harvard’s move to “cower and cave to the woke left” will “erode diversity of thought.”

Here’s here full statement:

Dean Doug Elmendorf, however, said that his decision ultimately had nothing to do with political ideology or Stefanik’s choice for president.

“In my assessment,” he wrote in a statement, “Elise has made public assertions about voter fraud in November’s presidential election that have no basis in evidence, and she has made public statements about court actions related to the election that are incorrect.”

Her removal is just another development in the mounting backlash following the riots on Capitol Hill last week. Several major corporations, including Marriott International MAR, -1.53%, have stopped donating to politicians tied to making false statements while social media companies, led by Twitter TWTR, -2.41%, continue to take action, including bans on the president and the purging of those spreading lies and inciting violence.
