Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.26%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.26%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which rose 6.52% or 150 points to trade at 2450 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 3.37% or 3.5 points to end at 108.9 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 3.25% or 49.0 points to 1559.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM), which fell 1.87% or 16.5 points to trade at 867.5 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 1.31% or 3.2 points to end at 241.0 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 0.83% or 7.6 points to 905.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 58 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) rose to all time highs; rising 3.25% or 49.0 to 1559.0.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.36% or 0.18 to $50.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $54.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 3.85 to trade at $1912.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.58% to 6.0689, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4380.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 89.910.
