The added cost for workers is associated with extra cleaning and sanitizing precautions related to the coronavirus pandemic, as well as payments for lost games and events. The exact amount Love has contributed to local workers is unknown, but Love had previously stated he planned to donate $100,000 to workers at the Rocket Mortgage RKT, -1.15% Fieldhouse, the arena where the Cavaliers play.
