President-elect Joe Biden asked for continued patience from quarantine-weary Americans in the fight against coronavirus heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.
“I know it sounds trite to say, but we’re all in this together,” he said in a speech Wednesday amid worries increased travel will drive US. COVID cases higher.
He said he and his wife Jill will observe the holiday with a smaller dinner including only his daughter and his son-in-law. Recent news on the effectiveness of vaccines means there is “real hope,” he said. “So hang on. Don’t let yourself surrender to the fatigue, which I understand – it is real fatigue,” Biden said.
