Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.11%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.11%, while the MDAX index gained 0.41%, and the TecDAX index added 0.12%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn), which rose 3.40% or 0.305 points to trade at 9.265 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens AG Class N (DE:SIEGn) added 2.36% or 2.58 points to end at 112.09 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG) was up 1.97% or 2.17 points to 112.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER), which fell 3.90% or 3.94 points to trade at 97.16 at the close. Deutsche Wohnen AG (DE:DWNG) declined 2.89% or 1.230 points to end at 41.390 and Vonovia SE (DE:VNAn) was down 1.77% or 1.02 points to 56.48.

The top performers on the MDAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:TKAG) which rose 8.46% to 5.360, Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:CBKG) which was up 5.36% to settle at 5.233 and Hochtief AG (DE:HOTG) which gained 5.13% to close at 79.90.

The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG) which was down 3.29% to 48.26 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:NEKG) which lost 2.68% to settle at 63.450 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (DE:SY1G) which was down 2.21% to 104.200 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which rose 7.00% to 19.420, Varta AG (DE:VAR1) which was up 2.42% to settle at 114.400 and Jenoptik AG (DE:JENGn) which gained 2.08% to close at 26.440.

The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:NEKG) which was down 2.68% to 63.450 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:AFXG) which lost 2.02% to settle at 116.500 and Drillisch AG (DE:DRIG) which was down 1.42% to 19.075 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 395 to 274 and 30 ended unchanged.

Shares in Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) rose to 3-years highs; rising 7.00% or 1.270 to 19.420.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 5.27% to 23.95.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.26% or 42.40 to $1830.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.87% or 0.37 to hit $42.79 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.46% or 0.66 to trade at $45.73 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.1813, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.8898.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 92.718.
