France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.13%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.13% to hit a new 6-months high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 3.51% or 2.06 points to trade at 60.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (PA:ALSO) added 2.96% or 1.18 points to end at 41.13 and Safran SA (PA:SAF) was up 2.45% or 2.95 points to 123.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Atos SE (PA:ATOS), which fell 1.86% or 1.28 points to trade at 67.66 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.72% or 0.24 points to end at 13.92 and Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) was down 1.31% or 2.00 points to 151.00.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Vallourec (PA:VLLP) which rose 12.31% to 23.530, Trigano SA (PA:TRIA) which was up 11.81% to settle at 132.50 and Nexity (PA:NEXI) which gained 4.55% to close at 30.82.

The worst performers were Robertet (PA:ROBF) which was down 3.78% to 892.00 in late trade, Albioma SA (PA:ABIO) which lost 3.33% to settle at 42.10 and Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which was down 2.70% to 20.00 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 305 to 278 and 79 ended unchanged.

Shares in Trigano SA (PA:TRIA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 11.81% or 14.00 to 132.50.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 0.45% to 23.18.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.00% or 0.05 to $1887.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.82% or 0.34 to hit $41.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.03% or 0.45 to trade at $43.37 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1876, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8957.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 92.358.
