The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (PA:RENA), which rose 5.72% or 1.57 points to trade at 29.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) added 3.23% or 0.39 points to end at 12.30 and Atos SE (PA:ATOS) was up 3.07% or 2.00 points to 67.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (PA:LVMH), which fell 0.80% or 3.80 points to trade at 469.05 at the close. Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) declined 0.72% or 1.10 points to end at 151.85 and L’Oreal SA (PA:OREP) was down 0.50% or 1.60 points to 315.70.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which rose 12.16% to 18.95, CGG SA (PA:GEPH) which was up 10.38% to settle at 0.770 and Vallourec (PA:VLLP) which gained 8.41% to close at 16.586.
The worst performers were Neoen SA (PA:NEOEN) which was down 2.67% to 47.35 in late trade, Genfit (PA:GNFT) which lost 2.37% to settle at 4.13 and GTT (PA:GTT) which was down 2.24% to 80.75 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 350 to 227 and 79 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 3.52% to 23.09.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.95% or 17.75 to $1891.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.07% or 0.85 to hit $40.27 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.68% or 0.73 to trade at $42.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1821, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 92.847.
