At the close in Sydney, the S&P/ASX 200 declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/ASX 200 were Healius Ltd (ASX:HLS), which rose 9.30% or 0.320 points to trade at 3.760 at the close. Meanwhile, OZ Minerals Ltd (ASX:OZL) added 5.27% or 0.80 points to end at 15.97 and EML Payments Ltd (ASX:EML) was up 2.77% or 0.10 points to 3.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail Rodamco Westfield (ASX:URW), which fell 9.28% or 0.32 points to trade at 3.13 at the close. Resolute Mining Ltd (ASX:RSG) declined 6.42% or 0.060 points to end at 0.875 and AMP Ltd (ASX:AMP) was down 5.56% or 0.080 points to 1.360.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 737 to 532 and 338 ended unchanged.

The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was up 2.74% to 19.393.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.47% or 9.10 to $1920.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 0.04 to hit $39.99 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $41.73 a barrel.
AUD/USD was down 0.13% to 0.7107, while AUD/JPY fell 0.11% to 74.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 92.677.
