Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.92%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.92%, while the MDAX index declined 0.44%, and the TecDAX index lost 1.35%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn), which rose 3.26% or 5.05 points to trade at 159.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn) added 1.88% or 0.150 points to end at 8.150 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:BMWG) was up 0.72% or 0.460 points to 63.990 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:FMEG), which fell 4.99% or 3.540 points to trade at 67.350 at the close. Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:DB1Gn) declined 3.70% or 5.450 points to end at 141.650 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:FREG) was down 3.11% or 1.110 points to 34.575.

The top performers on the MDAX were Grenke N AG (DE:GLJn) which rose 5.94% to 36.36, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:TKAG) which was up 5.15% to settle at 4.737 and Fraport AG (DE:FRAG) which gained 4.63% to close at 34.835.

The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 8.35% to 42.24 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG) which lost 5.68% to settle at 52.35 and Kion Group AG (DE:KGX) which was down 4.75% to 74.20 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (DE:WAFGn) which rose 3.17% to 86.500, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:SATG_p) which was up 2.95% to settle at 384.400 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:O2Dn) which gained 1.49% to close at 2.248.

The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 8.35% to 42.24 in late trade, Jenoptik AG (DE:JENGn) which lost 5.94% to settle at 23.740 and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:COKG) which was down 4.56% to 41.000 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 408 to 253 and 90 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.57% to 29.62.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.13% or 2.55 to $1914.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.85% or 0.35 to hit $41.41 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.21 to trade at $42.83 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.1831, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.9143.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 93.047.
