Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.07%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.07%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.60%, and the TecDAX index added 1.19%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER), which rose 3.67% or 3.50 points to trade at 98.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) added 2.32% or 0.625 points to end at 27.535 and Adidas AG (DE:ADSGN) was up 1.46% or 4.05 points to 281.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were BASF SE NA O.N. (DE:BASFN), which fell 4.20% or 2.410 points to trade at 54.970 at the close. Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:HEIG) declined 2.00% or 1.140 points to end at 55.920 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG) was down 1.98% or 2.03 points to 100.40.

The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which rose 5.51% to 42.86, Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which was up 3.67% to settle at 11.383 and HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG) which gained 3.36% to close at 46.76.

The worst performers were Fraport AG (DE:FRAG) which was down 3.82% to 34.480 in late trade, Wacker Chemie O.N. (DE:WCHG) which lost 3.01% to settle at 91.39 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:TKAG) which was down 2.53% to 4.511 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which rose 5.51% to 42.86, Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which was up 3.67% to settle at 11.383 and New Work SE (DE:NWOn) which gained 3.35% to close at 262.50.

The worst performers were Drillisch AG (DE:DRIG) which was down 1.37% to 20.200 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:O2Dn) which lost 1.24% to settle at 2.225 and Freenet AG NA (DE:FNTGn) which was down 0.81% to 17.055 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 358 to 298 and 86 ended unchanged.

Shares in Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.32% or 0.625 to 27.535.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 7.05% to 23.47 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.89% or 35.90 to $1931.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.24% or 0.51 to hit $40.68 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.15% or 0.50 to trade at $42.84 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.1824, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.9072.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 93.080.
