Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.51%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.51%, while the MDAX index gained 0.14%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.30%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn), which rose 1.64% or 0.116 points to trade at 7.190 at the close. Meanwhile, Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:DAIGn) added 1.48% or 0.675 points to end at 46.370 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (DE:DTEGn) was up 0.77% or 0.110 points to 14.370 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Covestro AG (DE:1COV), which fell 7.19% or 3.280 points to trade at 42.350 at the close. Adidas AG (DE:ADSGN) declined 1.42% or 4.00 points to end at 277.50 and Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (DE:DPWGn) was down 1.18% or 0.465 points to 38.975.

The top performers on the MDAX were Grenke N AG (DE:GLJn) which rose 4.58% to 31.54, RTL Group SA (DE:RRTL) which was up 3.89% to settle at 33.620 and K+S AG NA O.N. (DE:SDFGn) which gained 3.52% to close at 5.878.

The worst performers were Kion Group AG (DE:KGX) which was down 2.17% to 73.18 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which lost 1.93% to settle at 42.12 and Alstria Office Reit-Ag (DE:AOXG) which was down 1.90% to 11.860 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were New Work SE (DE:NWOn) which rose 6.76% to 260.50, Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which was up 3.27% to settle at 11.060 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COP1n) which gained 1.74% to close at 78.950.

The worst performers were S&T AG (DE:SANT1) which was down 5.74% to 17.91 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which lost 1.93% to settle at 42.12 and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:COKG) which was down 1.30% to 44.100 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 406 to 259 and 77 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.68% to 27.25.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 9.10 to $1894.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.12% or 0.44 to hit $39.73 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.25 to trade at $41.81 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1712, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.9077.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.957.
