France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.69%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.69%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.69%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 3.24% or 0.36 points to trade at 11.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (PA:MICP) added 1.03% or 0.98 points to end at 95.94 and Bouygues SA (PA:BOUY) was up 0.89% or 0.28 points to 31.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 10.03% or 4.01 points to trade at 35.99 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (PA:STM) declined 2.69% or 0.72 points to end at 26.09 and Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP) was down 2.18% or 0.65 points to 29.17.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Virbac SA (PA:VIRB) which rose 8.70% to 200.00, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) which was up 3.24% to settle at 11.46 and Air France KLM SA (PA:AIRF) which gained 2.78% to close at 3.73.

The worst performers were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which was down 10.03% to 35.99 in late trade, Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which lost 7.98% to settle at 12.62 and Faurecia (PA:EPED) which was down 3.29% to 37.63 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 357 to 201 and 84 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.00% or 19.80 to $1950.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.12% or 0.85 to hit $41.01 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.75% or 1.16 to trade at $43.38 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1823, while EUR/GBP rose 0.32% to 0.9138.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 93.115.
