Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.25%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.25%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which rose 2.89% or 28.7 points to trade at 1022.5 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 2.63% or 12.1 points to end at 472.8 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 2.00% or 8.4 points to 427.9 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 2.09% or 202 points to trade at 9448 at the close. ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) declined 0.58% or 0.56 points to end at 95.24 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 0.27% or 0.2 points to 87.6.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 51 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.63% or 12.1 to 472.8.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.01% or 0.75 to $38.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.72% or 0.68 to hit $40.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.45 to trade at $1964.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.12% to 6.2790, while EUR/DKK fell 0.04% to 7.4401.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 93.123.
