Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.18%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 2.18%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which fell 0.24% or 0.9 points to trade at 378.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) fell 1.08% or 10.9 points to end at 999.6 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 1.12% or 1.0 points to 90.3 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 6.18% or 11.2 points to trade at 169.3 at the close. Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM) declined 4.53% or 36.0 points to end at 759.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 4.52% or 43.8 points to 924.6.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 111 to 28 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.92% or 1.62 to $39.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.36% or 1.48 to hit $42.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 2.45 to trade at $1935.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.18% to 6.2886, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4389.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 92.912.
