Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.27%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.27%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 4.82% or 17.7 points to trade at 385.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 4.12% or 38.6 points to end at 976.6 and William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was up 3.96% or 7.3 points to 192.8 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 2.43% or 2.3 points to trade at 91.7 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) declined 0.47% or 11.0 points to end at 2337.0 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 0.14% or 1.5 points to 1040.5.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 71 to 53 and 25 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.12% or 38.6 to 976.6.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.67% or 1.14 to $41.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.24% or 1.02 to hit $44.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.86% or 36.75 to trade at $1942.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.61% to 6.2867, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4413.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 92.773.
