France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.01%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.01%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Accor SA (PA:ACCP), which rose 3.83% or 0.94 points to trade at 25.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Atos SE (PA:ATOS) added 1.50% or 1.06 points to end at 71.96 and Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (PA:MICP) was up 1.20% or 1.14 points to 96.16 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 1.62% or 0.16 points to trade at 9.89 at the close. Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) declined 1.29% or 0.15 points to end at 11.44 and Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP) was down 1.11% or 0.33 points to 29.28.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Accor SA (PA:ACCP) which rose 3.83% to 25.49, Neoen SA (PA:NEOEN) which was up 3.17% to settle at 45.60 and Edenred SA (PA:EDEN) which gained 2.60% to close at 43.00.

The worst performers were Maisons du Monde SAS (PA:MDM) which was down 2.97% to 13.71 in late trade, Eramet SA (PA:ERMT) which lost 2.48% to settle at 26.70 and Coface (PA:COFA) which was down 2.23% to 6.57 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 293 to 268 and 92 ended unchanged.

Shares in Neoen SA (PA:NEOEN) rose to all time highs; up 3.17% or 1.40 to 45.60.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 13.15% to 21.98.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.92% or 17.75 to $1921.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.76% or 0.75 to hit $43.37 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.56% or 0.71 to trade at $46.35 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1812, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.9001.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.180.
