Investing.com – Game developer Epic Games said it had filed a lawsuit against Apple after the tech giant removed the iOS version of its popular Fortnite game.

Shares of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) were largely flat following the news.

Epic said it was not seeking monetary compensation from the lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, for the injuries it has suffered, but would seek to establish Apple’s App Store as a monopoly, and pave a way to ensure it allows “fair competition.”

The lawsuit comes after Apple claimed Epic had enabled in-app payments in its app, a move that was not reviewed or approved by Apple and violated the App Store guidelines.
