Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.14%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.14%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 9.45% or 80.0 points to trade at 927.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) added 5.43% or 22.3 points to end at 432.7 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 3.51% or 308 points to 9086 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which fell 1.34% or 14.0 points to trade at 1032.5 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) declined 0.89% or 6.4 points to end at 713.0 and Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) was up 0.05% or 0.1 points to 189.4.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 40 and 15 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.45% or 80.0 to 927.0. Shares in Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.43% or 22.3 to 432.7.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.74% or 0.31 to $42.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.42% or 0.19 to hit $45.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 3.63% or 73.60 to trade at $1956.70 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.25% to 6.3266, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4474.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.435.
