At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.02%, while the MDAX index lost 0.14%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Wirecard AG (DE:WDIG), which rose 15.50% or 0.246 points to trade at 1.836 at the close. Meanwhile, SAP SE (DE:SAPG) added 2.23% or 3.040 points to end at 139.280 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) was up 1.85% or 0.405 points to 22.260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn), which fell 2.79% or 4.10 points to trade at 142.90 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn) declined 2.26% or 0.187 points to end at 8.086 and Bayer AG NA (DE:BAYGN) was down 2.13% or 1.29 points to 59.35.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER) which rose 5.28% to 94.50, Rheinmetall AG (DE:RHMG) which was up 3.95% to settle at 83.780 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which gained 2.38% to close at 46.91.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was down 5.60% to 113.000 in late trade, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:LHAG) which lost 5.06% to settle at 7.810 and Metro Wholesale & Food Specialist AG (DE:B4B) which was down 4.82% to 8.2120 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Wirecard AG (DE:WDIG) which rose 15.50% to 1.836, TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was up 2.38% to settle at 46.91 and SAP SE (DE:SAPG) which gained 2.23% to close at 139.280.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was down 5.60% to 113.000 in late trade, Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which lost 4.60% to settle at 10.127 and Freenet AG NA (DE:FNTGn) which was down 2.32% to 14.293 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 424 to 245 and 81 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.29% to 26.73.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.78% or 33.85 to $1931.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.17% or 0.07 to hit $41.36 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.06 to trade at $43.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.82% to 1.1749, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9125.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.80% at 93.627.
