Amazon Prime Video has a decent selection of movies coming in August 2020, along with a handful of original series.
Among the originals, the most prominent are “World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji” (Aug. 14), a 10-episode docuseries hosted by Bear Grylls in which 66 teams from around the world race for 11 days across the jungles, mountains and waters of Fiji; “Chemical Hearts” (Aug. 21), a teen romance based on the novel “Our Chemical Hearts” and starring Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams; and new episodes of kids shows “Clifford the Big Red Dog” (Aug. 21) and “Jessy and Nessy” (Aug. 7).
Amazon.com Inc,’s AMZN, +0.74% streaming service is also adding movies such as Tom Hardy’s biopic “Capone” (Aug. 10); “Arkansas” (Aug. 5), a crime thriller starring Liam Hemsworth; “Peanut Butter Falcon” (Aug. 6), the 2019 drama starring Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson; as well as ‘80s classic such as “Top Gun,” “Rain Man” and “Steel Magnolias” (all Aug. 1).
